HM Troop ship Empire Windrush Originally a German prize after WWII. Apart from one trip to bring in West Indian immigrants to the UK in 1948, it was used as troop ship from UK to ports east of Suez until it sank in the Mediterranean Sea 1954 following a serious fire.
